Agartala, 7th September 2024: Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) General Secretary and MLA Bhagawan Chandra Das expressed gratitude to the Tripura government on Saturday for announcing a Rs 564 crore relief package for flood-affected citizens.
During a press conference held at the BJP state headquarters, Das extended the party’s thanks to Chief Minister Manik Saha and his Cabinet for their swift decision to allocate the funds. “The decision is timely and much needed to support those impacted by the recent floods,” Das stated.
The special relief package includes Rs 70 crore for food supplies, Rs 15 crore for agriculture, Rs 5 crore for horticulture, Rs 120 crore for education, Rs 120 crore for the urban development department, Rs 240 crore for rural development, Rs 100 crore for health, Rs 100 crore for electricity, and around Rs 250 crore for the Public Works Department (PWD).
The comprehensive package aims to provide immediate assistance across several sectors, ensuring that affected communities can begin the process of recovery and rebuilding.
