Agartala, July 23, 2022: Tripura Pradesh Mahila Morcha on Saturday posted post cards addressing the Prime Minister Narendra Modi thanking him for nominating first indigenous lady for the post of President of India after the nation’s independence. The Morcha leaders and members also congratulated for being elected as the 15th president of India.
Speaking to reporters here in front of Post Office headquarters, Mahila Morcha president Jharna Debbarma said “The 15th President of India is an indigenous woman Draupadi Murmu ji. She had reached this position after struggling very much throughout her life and she also cited a glorious instance of motherhood. Secondly, we also thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji and his NDA government for nominating woman in the post of President of India. On July 25 next, she will sworn in as the first citizen of India.”
The Pradesh Mahila Morcha committee is not only holding this programme, but also the Mahila Morcha leaders in the 10 organizational districts and almost all the mandals are participating in this glorious event. Today, 100 postcards had been distributed and target set to post 2000 postcards throughout the state, she added.
Later, AMC Deputy Mayor Monika Das Datta said “In India, a ‘Matri Shakti’ had reached to the highest post of the country. We the women in the entire country are feeling proud and happy with the decision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and NDA-led government. We firmly believe that this kind of history will be repeated in the coming years and work to move the Bharatiya Janata Party forward.”
