Youths cheated with giving offer of jobs in fake ‘Mesho’ company

Agartala, July 23, 2022: Allegations have been labelled against a youth of Ujjan Abhoynagar here for betraying youths especially girls by giving them offer of jobs in a company named ‘Mesho’ and calling for interview in a private vehicle in front of Agartala Town Hall on Saturday.

It is reported that a youth identified as Nabin Kumar Deb, resident of Ujjan Abhoynagar here had plotted a fake website of a company named as ‘Mesho’ and committed to provide jobs to unemployed youths especially girls. Nabin is also accused of collecting hefty amounts from different youths as interview fee for the job in the company.

A large number of youths gathered in front of Agartala Town Hall on Saturday and started beating Nabin black and blue. East Agartala Police Station were informed and police reached the spot immediately.

A police official said “We received information that some people have caught a thief red-handed. After reaching to spot, we found that the youths alleged that a youth being the employee of ‘Mesho’ had come here to conduct interview for job. But everything seemed to be fake as there is no logo of the company, the website, toll-free customer care number was also found fake and abusive languages are used with girls while females are being given much preferences. Even, we are offered that the jobs’ salary would be Rs 15,500 per month and with these, he had been collecting hefty amounts from many youths.”

Police arrested Nabin and took him to police station. Being asked about the issue, Nabin said “I have been given the charge to recruit some youths in ‘Mesho’ company. But some unknown youths came here and started beating me without any reason. I have all documents with me.”
