Agartala, 25th July 2024: On the 25th anniversary of ‘Kargil Vijay Diwas’, the Pradesh Yuva Morcha organized a torch procession in the heart of the capital city on Thursday evening. The event commenced at Netaji Subhash Vidyaniketan School’s grounds and proceeded through various streets of Agartala culminating in front of the state BJP office.
Leading the procession were BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee and Yuva Morcha leaders. Addressing the media, Bhattacharjee emphasized the significance of the day, stating, “The Kargil motherland was once occupied by the Pakistani army. Many Indian soldiers sacrificed their lives to reclaim Kargil. This torch procession is a tribute to those brave soldiers.”
The procession saw enthusiastic participation, symbolizing the enduring respect and gratitude towards the heroes of the Kargil conflict.
