Agartala, 25th July 2024:   Members of the Tripura Gramin Bank Officers Union gathered in front of the bank’s head office to protest against what they described as unethical transfers and an inflexible attitude from the authorities. The demonstration was marked by the submission of a deputation to the Chairman of Tripura Gramin Bank.

The protest saw the active participation of the Tripura Gramin Bank Retired Staff Association and the Tripura Gramin Bank Employees Association. A member of the protest highlighted the grievances, stating, “PNB’s manager has been transferring workers unethically for some time. These transfers are being made without adhering to the bank’s rules and regulations. Numerous deputations have been made regarding this issue, but the unethical transfers persist. Hence, all employees of Gramin Bank have united for today’s protest.”

The demonstration underscores a growing discontent among the bank’s staff, who are demanding a halt to the arbitrary transfers and a return to fair and transparent practices within the institution.
