Agartala, 6th July 2025:  Royal scion and Tipra Motha Party founder Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma today issued a fervent appeal to all political parties to unite in the fight against illegal immigration from Bangladesh, warning that the future of Tripura and the North East is at stake.

Speaking to reporters after a meeting with Tripura Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu in Agartala, Pradyot emphasized that stopping infiltration should transcend political boundaries and be treated as a national priority.

“The issue of illegal infiltration is very serious. If we fail to act now, the next generation will suffer. There will be a huge injustice to their future if we do not unite and address this issue collectively,” Pradyot said.

While the meeting with the Governor drew public interest, Pradyot clarified that it was a personal visit.“We met yesterday at ISKCON, where he asked me to visit him when I had time. So I met him today. We discussed several issues. The Governor patiently heard my views and offered his advice, which I appreciated,” he said.

However, he refrained from disclosing details of the conversation, saying, “Since it was a private meeting, I won’t be discussing it publicly.”Reiterating his commitment to the cause, Pradyot stressed that illegal immigration poses a direct threat not only to Tripura but to the entire North East and India.

“All political parties must rise above vote-bank politics and come together to stop this. Illegal migration from Bangladesh is not just Tipra Motha’s concern—it’s a fight for every Indian. I am also in regular touch with the Chief Minister for the betterment of the state,” he added.

He further informed that a rally against illegal immigration will be held in Agartala on Monday.“This is not about one leader or one party. It’s about safeguarding our land, our people, and our future,” he said.
