Agartala, February 06, 2023: The royal scion and TIPRA Motha chairman Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarman on Monday campaigned at Chakmaghat under Teliamura sub-division in support of party’s three candidates.

Before the public meeting at Chakmaghat, a mammoth procession marched from Teliamura Town Hall.Addressing the rally, Debbarman said “This time, the effect of BJP’s tribal votes in Motha’s public meeting was clearly observed, the alliance of Congress and CPIM in the plains and Motha in the hills are instilling fear in the minds of the leaders and activists of the ruling party.”

In an attempt to motivate the workers, the royal scion vehemently protested against the allegation made by union Home minister Amit Shah for terming TIPRA Motha as the “B” team of CPIM and Congress.

He claimed “The Manikya kings did not bow down to the Mughals, the Britishers. Not even to BJP. Modi’s chest is 56 inches, Bubagra’s chest is 70 inches. If you love and come, you will get good behaviour in return or else, you will have to lose.”

“Late NC Debbarma has not given it in writing and has cheated us and is still trying to cheat us. This is not a fight to become an MLA, it is a fight for ‘Tiprasas’ (indigenous people). Those who have left us and joined BJP don’t like Tiprasa, they are greedy”, Debbarman told the gathering.

Taking a jibe on the saffron party, TIPRA Motha chief said “BJP does cheap politics in the name of nation. BJP leaders have fulfilled none of the promises they made in 2018. Migrant leaders begin arriving again ahead of election in 2023. Bubagra will not cheat the ‘Tiprasa’ people like BJP. Your love has changed me.”
