Agartala, 5th April 2026: A massive public rally was held this afternoon at the Sagoldema High School ground in Jamtail Bari, under the Kachucherra-Damcherra constituency, where Tipra Motha supremo Pradyot Kishore Debbarma delivered a sharp message on alliance politics. The event drew a large crowd of supporters, with party candidate Dhirendra Debbarma, leader Ranjan Sinha, and other organizational heads also present.
Addressing the gathering, Pradyot Kishore invoked the emotions and rights of the indigenous Triprasa community, declaring, “We all are Triprasa, treating our land as our mother.” He thanked the people for attending even on Easter Sunday. On the subject of political alliances, he revealed that he had faced pressure to join hands with the BJP, with promises of money and positions. “But if the common people gain nothing, such alliances have no value,” he asserted.
He further emphasized that while some leaders may be swayed by money, ordinary Triprasa people cannot be bought. “I stand with Triprasa and will continue fighting for their rights,” he said firmly. Criticizing the Chief Minister, Pradyot argued that despite having administrative power and financial resources, the government lacks the love of the indigenous people. He also accused the CM of making inconsistent statements.
On the issue of defections, Pradyot maintained a conciliatory tone, saying, “Even those who left have my love. Perhaps they had their reasons. But I will keep working for the new generation and fight till the end.”
With the upcoming ADC elections in focus, political observers see this rally as highly significant. The festive atmosphere around the event underscored its importance, while Pradyot Kishore’s uncompromising stance on alliances has once again placed him at the center of Tripura’s political discourse.
