Agartala, 26th November 2025:  Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma, founder of the Tipra Motha Party and royal scion, on Wednesday inaugurated six Mobile Medical Units to enhance healthcare services in the remote corners of the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC). The initiative has been made possible through CSR support from Apollo Hospitals and the Altius Group.

Addressing the gathering, Pradyot highlighted the importance of bringing medical care directly to villages, reducing the need for residents to travel to Agartala for basic treatment. “When doctors visit villages, diagnose patients, and provide initial care, it relieves both the financial and logistical burden on our people,” he said.

The newly launched mobile units will operate on a scheduled village-to-village route, conducting regular medical camps and ensuring broader coverage in underserved areas. The initiative has also created 30 new jobs in the region.

Pradyot reflected on the changing nature of CSR initiatives in Tripura, noting that while companies once focused on donating items like computers and carrom boards, today they are investing crores in health services. “This progress over the past five years is a testament to the growing awareness and support for community development,” he added.

He also pointed out that private CSR contributions have helped fill gaps where government support fell short, such as funding for ambulance drivers.

Calling for continued development in tribal regions, Pradyot urged more organizations to contribute to healthcare, sports infrastructure, smart classrooms, anti-drug campaigns, and initiatives that support the growth and well-being of tribal youth.
