Agartala, 31st December 2024: With Poush Sankranti just around the corner, Alpana Gram at Lankamura is being revitalized under the initiative of Sanskar Bharati. Women from the area are busy creating traditional alpana designs on their homes, adding a festive touch to the village.
In celebration of Poush Sankranti, a two-day fair will be held in Alpana Gram. Preparations are in full swing, with organizers and residents working together to ensure the event’s success. A local woman shared, “15 years ago, Sanskar Bharati initiated the development of Alpana Gram. The alpana designs made five years ago have faded, so we are creating new designs this time.”
Alpana Gram is well-known, and the community invites everyone to visit and enjoy the renewed decorations and festivities. The village is set to become a vibrant and colorful hub as it gears up for the upcoming celebrations.
