Agartala, 6th March 2025: A special program focusing on “Viksit Bharat” was held at the Shibnagar Community Hall in Nalchar Block, Sonamura subdivision. The Central Bureau of Communication organized the event featuring discussions on Swachhta Hi Seva, Ek Pair Maa Ke Naam, Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, Mission Life, Women Empowerment and Atmanirbhar Bharat.
Attendees included Subhasis Kumar Chanda, Deputy Director of PIB Agartala, Kunal Sindhe, Assistant Director of Doordarshan Kendra Agartala Swapan Kumar Das, Chairman of Nalchar Block Panchayat Samiti Suranjit Sarkar, Development Officer; and several local panchayat representatives. Their presence lent weight to the discussions and initiatives presented during the event.
The program commenced with a tree plantation drive under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan initiative, engaging local panchayat representatives and guests in a practical demonstration of the theme’s significance. This activity emphasized the importance of environmental cleanliness as a cornerstone for a developed India.
In his address, Swapan Kumar Das, Chairman of Nalchar Block Panchayat Samiti highlighted the critical role of maintaining cleanliness for national development. He said that keeping surroundings clean and preserving government institutions are crucial steps toward realizing a developed India, as these institutions are public assets.
Deputy Director of PIB Agartala Chanda offered an in-depth analysis of various topics, including cleanliness, women empowerment, and the vision of a self-reliant India. He highlighted how these aspects collectively contribute to the overarching goal of national development.
The event concluded with an open quiz competition involving students from various schools and women from self-help groups, fostering community engagement and awareness. Various students and women from self-help groups enthusiastically participated, showcasing their knowledge and commitment to the themes discussed during the event.
