Agartala, 2nd September 2024:   Job seekers staged a protest in front of the Fire Service headquarters, demanding the recruitment of firefighters and drivers on Monday. Later, they submitted a deputation to the Director of the Fire Service, urging for the immediate release of results and completion of the recruitment process.

The protesters allege that in 2022, a notification was issued for the recruitment of 329 positions in the Tripura Fire Service. Following this, physical and written examinations were conducted. However, nearly a year has passed, and the results have yet to be announced. In response to this delay, the aspiring candidates submitted a deputation at the Agartala Fire Service office, seeking clarity on the matter.

The protesters have called for the immediate release of the results and the completion of the recruitment process. They also appealed to Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha to take this issue seriously.
