Agartala, 2nd June 2025: Rajya Sabha MP Rajib Bhattacharjee has been appointed as the Chairman of the Food Corporation of India’s (FCI) advisory committee for Tripura. The official notification confirming his appointment was made public recently. Following the announcement, Bhattacharjee took to social media to express his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister for Food and Public Distribution Prahlad Joshi.
“I extend my heartfelt thanks to Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Prahlad Joshi for entrusting me with this responsibility,” he wrote.
As Chairman of the state advisory committee, Bhattacharjee is expected to play a key role in strengthening food distribution mechanisms and addressing region-specific concerns related to the FCI’s functioning in Tripura.
