Agartala, January 19, 2023: BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee on Thursday welcomed retired DIG Balaram Shil of CRPF in the saffron party at the premises of party’s state election office here.
Speaking to media personnel here, Bhattacharjee said that the people of the state are supporting the BJP following the works done by the party-led government in the state during the past five years.
“Today, retired DIG Balaram Shil of CRPF and sportsman in gymnast who also participated international events joined BJP at the state election office of the party. In the coming days, he will work as a ‘karyakarta’ of the party”, he added.
Addressing the media persons, Shil said “I retired from the post of DIG in CRPF about two years back. I have won Asia cup for two times as gymnast and represented India in various countries like Moscow, South Korea, Tehran, etc. I loved this party, but could not participate in the activities as I was engaged in government service. I will give my best to perform whatever work is assigned to me from the party.”
