Agartala, 28th August 2026: The Unakoti district administration celebrated Raksha Bandhan at Kailashahar Women’s Police Station today, spreading a message of peace, harmony, and fraternity. The event was attended by Unakoti Superintendent of Police Rishav, Commandant of Assam Rifles’ 28 Battalion D.S. Chauhan, Kailashahar Municipal Chairperson Chapla Debroy, Gournagar Panchayat Vice-Chairman Badruzzaman, and Women’s Police Station OC Swarna Debbarma, among others.
Rakhis were tied to all attendees by the police station authorities, symbolizing love, respect, and mutual cooperation. In his address, SP Rishav emphasized that Raksha Bandhan is not just a festival of siblings but a reminder to strengthen bonds of trust, peace, and unity in society. He urged people to rise above divisions and build a respectful, cooperative, and peaceful community.
