Agartala, 7th January 2024:   Union Minister of State, Pratima Bhoumik, emphasized the significance of the upcoming construction of the Ram Mandir on January 22, stating that it holds importance not just as a religious institution but also as a symbol and temple of the nation.

“Ram Mandir is not merely a religious institution; it stands as the symbol and temple of our nation. Therefore, the establishment of Ram Mandir on January 22 is highly significant. It is a public festival, and the countrymen are about to witness a historic moment. This day will be etched in golden letters,” said the Minister.

Pratima Bhoumik made these remarks before leading a colorful procession organized by Vivekananda Vichar Mancha and Majdoor Monitoring Cell, commencing from in front of Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan.

The procession was arranged in anticipation of the much-awaited inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on January 22 and the celebration of Rama’s life.

Union State Minister Pratima Bhowmik actively participated in the front row of the procession, emphasizing that Lord Ram symbolizes peace and dignity on this significant day.

“This day fills the people of the country with great pride and joy. It is an emotional day for the countrymen, a day for which we had to struggle for 500 years. Finally, with the support of the country’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, that wait has ended, and the Ram Mandir will be established. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called for lighting lamps in every household on this day, as when Ram returned to Ayodhya after spending 14 years in the forest, the village was illuminated from darkness,” she expressed.

The Union Minister of State urged everyone to light lamps in their homes and temples to commemorate the occasion.
