Ahead Lok Sabha, PCC faces reshuffle in its organization

Agartala, 7th January 2024:  Ahead of the Lok Sabha election, the Tripura Pradesh Congress has undergone a significant reshuffle in its organization, with changes in its Vice Presidents, general secretaries, and secretaries.

The All India President, Mallikarjun Kharge, officially finalized the list of members for the new committee of Tripura Pradesh Congress. The announcement was made by KC Venugopal, the party’s All India General Secretary, in a statement released on Sunday. The comprehensive list includes appointments for various crucial positions within the Provincial Congress Committee.

The newly appointed committee features 6 Vice Presidents, each bringing unique expertise to their roles. The Vice Presidents include Ashok Debbarma, Prithvi Dev, Srishtamohan Das, Shantiranjan Debnath, Shankar Malla, and Madan Saha.

Moreover, the committee comprises 7 General Secretaries, with Prashant Sen Chowdhury, Dilip Kumar Deb, Tarun Saha, Maitri Deb, Shabda Kumar Jamatia, Milan Kar, and Abdul Bachit Chowdhury taking on key responsibilities.

In addition to this, the committee has appointed 19 individuals as Secretaries, along with one Office Secretary and one Treasurer. The executive team consists of 41 members, featuring prominent leaders like Sameer Ranjan Burman, Sudip Roy Barman, Gopal Chandra Roy, Birajit Sinha, and Diba Chandra Hrangkhawl from Pradesh Congress.

Notably, 9 new District Presidents have been appointed to lead different districts within Tripura Pradesh Congress, further strengthening the party’s organizational structure.

Party sources said that this strategic reshuffling of leadership positions is expected to invigorate Pradesh Congress in Tripura, as the newly appointed members bring a diverse range of experiences and skills to their respective roles. The party aims to enhance its presence and effectiveness in the region under the guidance of the reinvigorated committee.
