One NLFT cadre surrendered in Dhalai

Agartala, 7th January 2024:   On 7th January 2024, in the area of Border out post (BOP) Manoranjan under Chawmanu of Dhalai District one unlisted cadre of National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) (BM) surrendered before BSF authorities.

BSF officails said in the wee hours of the day Uday Manik Jamatia who is a resident of village Tulsiram Bari, Killa, Gomati district, decided to leave the path of violence and surrendered to live a normal life and to involve in the main stream of the nation.

“The surrendered insurgent joined NLFT (BM) outfit in the month of September 2023”, said BSF.     Tripura state has been insurgency prone for last few decades.

 Due to endeavour of central agencies and state authorities, in recent past, several cadres of NLFT (BM) opted to return back to the mainstream of the society. Such example will certainly motivate the misguided youths to leave the path of violence.
