Agartala, 9th July 2026: Deputy Speaker Ram Prasad Paul today described the Gram Sabha meetings at Suryamani Nagar and Chaumani Bazar Gram Panchayats as a “proud moment” marking the fulfillment of a long-cherished dream for many families. The sessions were held under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin) 2.0, aimed at providing concrete houses to underprivileged families.
Paul emphasized that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government is working tirelessly to ensure housing for every eligible family. During the Gram Sabha, the list of beneficiaries for the 2024-25 financial year was discussed and approved, based strictly on the Permanent Wait List (PWL) to maintain transparency and fairness.
Since 2018, thousands of families in the Suryamani Nagar Assembly constituency have already benefited from the scheme. Continuing this momentum, many more families in Suryamani Nagar and Chaumani Bazar will now be able to build their dream homes. “A concrete house is not merely a structure; it symbolizes security, dignity, self-confidence, and a bright future for a family,” Paul stated.
He extended heartfelt greetings to all selected beneficiaries, reaffirming the government’s commitment to public welfare and development. “Your trust and blessings inspire us to serve the people with even greater dedication. Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas,” he added.
