Agartala, 12th November 2025 : . Kailashahar’s Ramakrishna School, one of Tripura’s oldest educational institutions is celebrating its 75th anniversary, its Platinum Jubilee with a vibrant nine-day program of rallies, ceremonies, and cultural events that promise to leave a lasting imprint on the city’s educational and cultural landscape.
The celebrations were formally announced at a press conference held on campus attended by Headmaster Asim Chakraborty, who also chairs the Platinum Jubilee Organizing Committee along with conveners Arun Saha, Uttam Das, Subhasis Choudhury and Sanjib Choudhury. Alumni and members of the school’s alumni association were also present.
Founded in 1950, Ramakrishna School has been a beacon of learning for over seven decades. “This milestone is not just a celebration of our past, but a call to reunite as one family and rekindle cherished memories,” said Chakraborty, inviting all former students to join the festivities.
The official program begins on November 29 with a citywide Unity Rally starting from the school grounds. On November 30, a tableau parade will showcase the institution’s rich history and achievements. The inaugural ceremony is scheduled for December 1 at 11 a.m., with invitations extended to Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha and Youth and Sports Minister Tinku Roy, though formal confirmation from the CM’s office is pending.
The opening day will also feature a tribute to the school’s late and retired teachers, followed by a musical performance by popular local artist Niharika Nath. A mega blood donation camp will be held on December 3, and renowned singer Vinod Rathod will perform on December 4. The celebrations will conclude on December 7 with a grand performance by Raj Barman. Each evening will host cultural programs featuring artists from across the state and beyond.
The Platinum Jubilee of Ramakrishna School is poised to be a landmark event, celebrating not only the institution’s legacy but also its enduring role in shaping the educational and cultural fabric of Kailashahar.
