Ratan Lal Nath’s surprise visit to TSECL’s office at Banamalipur; Plan to redecorate office complex

Agartala, June 03, 2023: Power minister Ratan Lal Nath on Saturday made a surprise visit to the TSECL’s Senior Manager Electrical Sub-Division No-II at Banamalipur here and expressed his disappointment over the unhygienic condition of office and its premises.

The minister said that there is ample land left abandoned in the office complex and asked the officials to redecorate the place for utilization. He, however, asked the officials not to cut off the trees while cleaning the bushes around the office.

Thereafter, Nath also inquired about the on-going office work by the employees of TSECL posted in Electrical Sub-Division No-II.

Speaking to media persons on the sidelines of the visit, Power minister Nath said “The office of the Electrical Sub-Division No-II at Banamalipur is located on a plot of 11 Kanis. This office is having decades-old building, some of them had reached the stage of dismantling and many abandoned land is also available. A comprehensive plan has been initiated to make right use of unutilized lands, office buildings, residential quarters, etc. There is also a pond in this office complex. We will ask the Agartala Municipal Corporation for renovating this water body and beautify the place.”

The minister was accompanied by TSECL’s MD Debasish Sarkar along with other officials.
