Repeated thefts at Kameshwar Kali temple raise concerns among villagers

Agartala, 30th May 2025:   The Kameshwar Kali Temple under Dharmanagar police station in North Tripura has been targeted by thieves twice in the past week causing panic among locals and dissatisfaction with police action. 

This morning, temple priest Rupak Bhattacharjee found the temple’s main gate broken and the door left open when he arrived for his routine prayers. Upon notifying the temple committee, members rushed to the scene and informed the police. 

According to the committee, the thieves took the donation box along with donation money as well as silver ornaments and other valuables from the shrine.
