Agartala, 19th February 2025:   For the past seven years, residents of Padmasingh Roaja Para, Kumaria Roaja Para and Lalitdhan Purna Para in Longtharai Valley subdivision have been grappling with severe electricity issues. In addition, they lack access to drinking water and healthcare facilities. In protest, the residents blocked the Jambura road this morning, halting traffic movement.

Reports indicate that despite repeatedly informing the administration about these problems, no effective solution has been provided. Faced with this persistent neglect, the locals decided to stage a road blockade. The blockade led to a complete standstill of vehicular movement in the area.

Upon receiving the news, police and senior administrative officials rushed to the scene and engaged in discussions with the protesters. They assured the residents that the issues would be resolved promptly. Following these assurances, the residents agreed to withdraw the blockade.
