Agartala, February 27, 2023: A 43-year old retrenched 10,323 teacher was brutally injured after being attacked by unknown miscreants at Saatmura under Belonia sub-division on Sunday evening last.
It is reported that the injured person name is Rabindra Majumder, resident of Saatmura area. He was a teacher of 10,323 teachers’ lot. After losing his government service, he got a job as manager in a brick kiln at Chittamara area.
After returning home on Sunday last at 7.30 PM from the brick kiln, he went to a neighbouring house for return the money he borrowed. On his way home from there, at around 9:30 PM on Sunday, miscreants attacked Rabindra on his head and left unconscious.
Hearing his hue and cry, local people shifted injured Rabindra to the Belonia sub-divisional hospital. After first aid, the doctor on-duty shifted him to GBP Hospital, Agartala.
His wife claimed that they will lodge a complaint with the local police station over the attack. She also said that her husband is a supporter of CPIM party and that is why, they faced this attack.
Following this incident, tension triggered in the entire area.
