Revenue Minister, IPFT Supremo N C Debbarma passes away

Agartala Jan 01: IPFT (Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura) supremo and Tripura Revenue minister N C Debbarma passed away here on Sunday.

Debbarma was suffering from multiple ailments and was admitted to GB Hospital in the capital city on Thursday evening after he was critically ill.

At the age of 85, the oldest minister of Tripura state cabinet went through complex brain surgery on Friday last and according to Dr Siddha Reddy, the condition of N C Debbarma was critical and had least chances of survival.

Battling for life for few more hours after being put on ventilator at ICU of the hospital, N C Debbarma breathed his last on Sunday.

Expressing his condolences Tripura chief minister Dr Manik Saha in his facebook post wrote, “Deeply saddened by the passing away of senior member in the state cabinet Shri N.C. Debbarma today. My condolences to the bereaved family. May the departed soul rest in peace.  Om Santi!”

Deputy chief minister Jishnu Dev Varma also wrote, “My Cabinet Colleague and veteran Tribal Leader, NC Debbarma Ji’s passing away leaves a void for all of us at Tripura. May he attain moksha and rest in peace. My condolences to his family members and loved ones at this hour of grief.  Om Shanti”.

Not only from the ruling party, but tributes poured in from almost all the political party leadership on the demise of the veteran tribal leader of Tripura.
