Road accident at Bishalgarh leaves three injured

Agartala, 24th April 2026:   Three people were injured in a road accident on the Agartala–Sabroom National Highway near Uttam Bhakta Chowmuhani under Bishalgarh police station this morning.

It is reported that a three-wheeler truck-auto was returning to Charilam after selling fish in Agartala when it was suddenly hit by another vehicle from the roadside. The driver, identified as Para Mia (35), lost control, and the auto collided with a tree before coming to a halt.

Nasir Hossain (42), a resident of Charilam Uttar Mora, who was seated beside the driver, became trapped inside the vehicle, with both legs pinned. Bishalgarh Fire Service personnel rushed to the spot and, after nearly 45 minutes of effort with the help of locals, managed to rescue him.

Driver Para Mia and another passenger, Montaj Mia (60), also from Charilam Uttar Mora, sustained injuries in the crash. All three victims were taken to Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital for treatment, fire service sources confirmed.
