Agartala, 7th  February 2026 :  Mayor and MLA of Ramnagar assembly constituency Dipak Majumdar today inspected the progress of several development projects in his assembly area.

He first visited a privately-owned pond at Ramthakur Lane which had long remained abandoned. Local residents had demanded its renovation for public use. Majumdar assured that the Agartala Municipal Corporation would take steps to restore the pond and make it usable.

Later, he reviewed the repair work on Ramnagar Road No. 8, which had been neglected for nearly five decades. The road is now being renovated at an estimated cost of Rs 5 crore, with plans to cover the drains and improve the carriageway.

The Mayor also inspected the renovation of another pond at Ranjit Nagar. While acknowledging that the work was ongoing, he appealed to citizens for patience, promising that within the next six months the overall appearance of Agartala city would undergo a significant transformation.
