Agartala, 5th October 2025 : The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) marked Vijaya Dashami with a vibrant celebration in Kailashahar today, bringing together a diverse cross-section of society. Held at the Vidyanagar School grounds, the event drew participation from educators, intellectuals, and RSS volunteers, all united in commemorating the cultural and spiritual significance of the day.
Unakoti district’s District Education Officer (DEO) Prashanta Kilikdar graced the occasion as chief guest. Apurba Kumar Nandi delivered the keynote address as the intellectual speaker, while city coordinator Ripon Pal represented the local RSS leadership. Speakers highlighted the deeper meaning of Vijaya Dashami, not only as a symbol of the triumph of good over evil, but also as an emblem of courage, valor and awakened strength within Hindu society.
The event also paid tribute to the founding of the RSS, which was established on Vijaya Dashami in 1925 under the leadership of Keshav Baliram Hedgewar in Nagpur. Since its inception, the organization has worked across India to promote cultural unity, nationalism, and character-building through social service. Today, RSS activities span nearly every state, with initiatives including educational camps, service projects, schools, and development programs aimed at uplifting marginalized communities.
Preparations are already underway for the centenary celebration of the RSS, with a year-long series of social and cultural programs planned across the country. Speakers emphasized that the Sangh’s mission reflects the timeless Hindu ethos of global peace and human welfare, now expressed through modern organizational efforts.
The atmosphere at the event was festive and disciplined, with volunteers from various branches participating in an orderly manner. Guests offered prayers for unity and peace, reinforcing the message of harmony. Many attendees described the celebration as an inspiring example of patriotism, moral strength, and social cohesion in Kailashahar.
