Agartala, February 18, 2023: A peace meeting was held with the leaders of all political parties in the presence of Sub-Divisional Magistrate Bidhan Chandra Roy and Sub-Divisional Police Officer Namit Pathak on Sunday at Sub-Divisional Magistrate’s office in Sabroom to prevent any untoward incidents or terrorism in the next phase of new government formation.
Among the representatives of various political parties present in this peace meeting were BJP candidate from 39-Manu constituency Mylaphru Mog, and TIPRA Motha candidate Dhananjay Tripura, 40-Sabroom CPIM agent Manik Majumder, Uchathai Mog and BJP agent Ujjal Bhowmik were present.
According to the message of the state branch of Tripura Election Commission, this peace meeting is said to be aimed at countering post-election terrorism.
In the meeting, Sub-Divisional Police Officer Namit Pathak and various political leaders requested them to desist from the path of violence – and maintain peace in the sub-division.
