Agartala, June 17, 2023: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president JP Nadda on Saturday met Dronacharya awardee trainer Bisweshwar Nandi at his residence in Agartala as part of the party’s ‘Sampark Se Samarthan’ campaign to mark the completion of nine years of the Modi government.

Nandi, who coached Olympian Dipa Karmakar, told reporters, “Though I have also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi, I never thought that Naddaji would come to my house.  My whole family was tensed thinking about his coming home.  Now, I am relieved.”

He also said, I am very proud to welcome such a big political personality in my house. Nadda ji handed me a booklet on the achievements of the Narendra Modi government and asked me to read it.”

Besides this, Nadda also met former chairman of Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC) Manas Debbarman and renowned singer Tithi Debbarman at their respective residences here in Agartala.

Former Chairman of TPSC Debbarman, associated with the Left ideology, said, “It was a courtesy meeting and I am happy that Nadda ji came to my house. There was no discussion about politics during the meeting. Today I came to know that his wife is Bengali and he (Nadda) is learning to relate.”
