Agartala, 16th September 2024: The Santirbazar Public Works Department (PWD) office organized a sit-and-draw competition as part of the Biswakarma Puja celebrations. The event took place at the PWD office, saw enthusiastic participation from over 400 students from various schools in the Santirbazar sub-division.
Executive Tapas Marak and SD Prabir Baran Das of the Santirbazar PWD Department spearheaded the initiative. “We are committed to supporting our community in both joyous and challenging times,” said Marak. “This competition is a way to bring joy and creativity to the children during the festive season.”
The competition featured different themes for various age groups: Nursery to Class I students participated in a “Draw as You Like” category, Class II to V students illustrated “Rainy Day” scenes, and Class VI to VIII students depicted “Flood Inundated Tripura.” The event aimed to help the community forget recent hardships and celebrate the festive spirit.
“The PWD Department has always been at the forefront of developmental programs in Santirbazar,” noted Das. “Our recent efforts to assist flood-affected people are a testament to our dedication.”
Prizes will be awarded to the top five winners in each category on the day of Vishwakarma Puja. The event was met with great enthusiasm, and participants expressed their gratitude to the organizers. “We are thankful to Executive Tapas Marak and SD Prabir Baran Das for organizing such a wonderful program,” said one of the participants.
The Santirbazar PWD Department continues to play a vital role in the community, ensuring that development and support go hand in hand.
