Agartala, 23rd April 2025: Sabroom subdivision witnessed a significant gathering as the Ssatchand RD Block convened at the conference hall of the Block Development Officer’s office. The meeting served as a dual-purpose platform: reviewing past government programs and strategizing future development initiatives to ensure they are both constructive and effective.
The event was graced by Dakshin Tripura Zilla Parishad Sabhadipati Dipak Datta, Manu MLA Mailafru Mog, BDO Anupam Das, secretaries of various panchayats and village councils, GRS and elected public representatives. Presiding over the meeting was Block Chairperson Prabhas Lodh.
One of the central themes of the discussion was the seamless execution of projects under the 16th Finance Commission. Addressing the gathering, MLA Mailafru Mog emphasized the need for proactive engagement from village councils. “Village councils need to be more active in development activities. Everyone needs to be aware that government facilities reach the people properly,” Mog stated, highlighting the challenges faced by the councils.
Sabhadipati Datta reflected on the achievements of past development programs, commending their impact while urging for enhanced quality and dynamism in future endeavors. “We must build on our successes and ensure that our efforts are more impactful in the days to come,” Datta remarked.
The meeting also celebrated excellence, honoring panchayats and officials who adhered to government protocols and completed their assignments effectively. Panchayat secretaries excelling in e-office management were awarded, and engineers contributing to the block area’s progress were felicitated.
BDO Das highlighted the importance of collaboration in achieving developmental goals. “To smooth the path of development, coordination between public representatives, administrative officials, and local people is very important. In the coming days, we will move forward towards fulfilling our goals through this coordination,” Das affirmed.
Block Chairperson Prabhas Lodh expressed gratitude to all attendees and declared the meeting closed with a vote of thanks. The RD Block is being hailed as a pivotal step in shaping the future development roadmap for the block.
