Agartala, 17th February 2025: A violent scuffle broke out between the owners and employees of two beauty parlors in the Aitorama building on Monday morning, leaving two people severely injured.

According to reports, the altercation occurred after a disagreement over flowers from a birthday party held at a newly opened beauty parlor. The second-floor parlor, inaugurated recently with local mandal support, had left flowers on the staircase, which triggered a response from the owners and employees of the pre-existing beauty parlor on the top floor.

The situation escalated when employees of the new beauty parlor confronted the old parlor owner, Bijoy Poddar, regarding the matter. What began as a verbal exchange soon turned violent. In a shocking turn of events, a group of young women and a man assaulted Poddar and one of his employees, leaving both bleeding and requiring medical attention.

Local residents rushed to the scene after hearing the commotion. West Agartala Women’s Police Station quickly intervened and brought the situation under control. Authorities arrested two young women and a man involved in the assault. Additionally, a young man named Sagar Sarkar was rescued from the scene and taken to the police station for safety.

The police have stated that no formal complaint has been filed yet by any party involved. However, they assured that if a case is lodged, the entire incident will be thoroughly investigated.
