Agartala, 11th January 2025: The state government has initiated a comprehensive process to verify the implementation and quality of ongoing projects by various government departments. As part of this initiative, departmental secretaries are visiting Ground Zero to review the current status of these projects. They are not only conducting inspections but also holding meetings with officials and staff at all levels.
On Saturday, Abhishek Singh, IAS, Secretary of the state government conducted a thorough review of the implementation and quality of various projects in South District. The review covered projects by the Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited, ongoing initiatives by the Tripura Renewable Energy Development Agency (TREDA), activities of the Drinking Water and Sanitation Department under the Public Works Department, and various activities of Urban Local Bodies and the Tripura Urban Livelihood Mission (TULM).
During the visit, state-level and district-level officers of the mentioned departments, along with the officers and employees involved in the implementation of these projects, were present with the Secretary. Abhishek Singh inspected the RDSS project and other works undertaken by the Power Corporation and the TREDA Solar Power Projects. He also interacted with various beneficiaries, recorded their complaints, and provided necessary instructions to the officers.
In a meeting held at the Belonia Circuit House, the Power Secretary emphasized the importance of completing the work on time and maintaining its quality. He instructed the officers to ensure timely completion of the projects and to address any issues promptly.
“The state government is committed to ensuring the successful implementation of these projects. It is crucial that we maintain high standards of quality and adhere to the timelines set for each project,” said Abhishek Singh during the meeting.
The review process aims to bring about transparency and accountability in the execution of government projects, ensuring that the benefits reach the intended beneficiaries. The Secretary’s visit and interactions with the local community highlight the government’s dedication to addressing the concerns of the people and improving the overall infrastructure and services in the region.
