Swasti Bazar Merchants’ Association holds mega blood donation camp

Agartala, 11th January 2025:   To mark the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda and World Youth Day, a mega blood donation camp was organized by the Swasti Bazar Merchants’ Association at Swasti Bazar on Hariganga Basak Road here today. The event was graced by Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor and 7-Ramnagar MLA Dipak Majumdar, Rajya Sabha MP Rajib Bhattacharjee, Corporator Ratna Datta and other members of the Swasti Bazar Merchants’ Association.

During the camp, Mayor and MLA Majumdar, MP Rajib Bhattacharjee, Corporator Ratna Dutta, and other association members interacted with the blood donors and encouraged them for their noble contribution.

Speaking to the media, MP Rajib Bhattacharjee said, “Blood donation camps are being celebrated with great enthusiasm in various parts of the state. Such initiatives are unprecedented and highly commendable. I would like to thank the organizers and the donors for their participation in today’s camp.”

The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of blood donation and to honor the legacy of Swami Vivekananda, who has inspired millions with his teachings and contributions to society.

The Swasti Bazar Merchants’ Association expressed their gratitude to all the donors and participants for making the event a success, highlighting the community’s spirit of solidarity and service.
