Agartala, January 17: A motorcycle rider, who was on his way to perform security guard duty, was injured in a road accident on Wednesday. The incident took place in the Sidhai police station area of West Tripura district.
The victim, identified as Surajit Sinha, is a resident of Taltala area in Mohanpur sub-division. He works as a private security guard for a private company. He was travelling to Indranagar by bike from his home when he collided with a car at Kalibazar area of Bamutia.
The 58-year-old man fell on the road and suffered injuries. He was immediately rushed to the GB Pant Hospital for treatment. His condition is said to be stable.
Meanwhile, the locals caught the car driver and seized his vehicle. They handed over the car and the driver to the police of Sidhai police station. A case has been registered and an investigation is underway.
