Agartala, 5th December 2023 : In a concerted effort to enhance road safety awareness and prioritize life protection, the Sepahijala District Transport Department officially commenced the Road Safety Awareness Campaign 2023 on Tuesday. The three-day initiative features a series of programs aimed at educating the public on road safety, including the distribution of informative leaflets throughout the streets and alleys of Sepahijala district.
The inauguration of the program took place auspiciously at the Bishramganj Multipurpose Hall in Sepahijala District Headquarters. District President Supriya Das Datta, alongside key figures such as Sepahijala District Transport Officer Suman Rakshit, Dibakar Das, and Amarjit Debbarma, inaugurated the event. The opening ceremony included a quiz competition on road safety among school students, with prizes awarded to the winners.
Highlighting the importance of community engagement, the district transport department announced plans to conduct campaigning and distribute awareness leaflets in various alleys and streets of Sepahijala district over the next three days, utilizing vehicles for widespread coverage.
The Road Safety Awareness Campaign 2023 underscores the commitment of Sepahijala District Transport Department to foster a safer road environment and instill responsible road behaviour among the community members.
