Sepahijala district Tribal Welfare office holds awareness camp at Jampuijala

Agartala, April 08, 2023: An awareness camp was held on the initiative of Sipahijala District Tribal Welfare Office at Jampuijala sub division’s Dayaram Para Community Hall with various schemes of the Government of India and the initiative of district-level Sipahijala district administration to create employment.

BAC chairman and former MLA Birendra Kishore Debbarma of Jampuijala RD block inaugurated the program in presence of District Panchayat Officer Narendra Reang, Sepahijala district Tribal Welfare department Officer Prasenjit Banerjee, ST Corporation ex-chairman Mangal Debbarma and others were present.

The youth of indigenous community participated in this awareness camp. The central government is implementing various projects to show the direction of alternative income for the unemployed youth. Millions of youth of the country are self-earning with the benefits of the project. Besides their own earnings, they are providing employment opportunities to more unemployed people. By implementing all these projects, the government is trying to provide income to the unemployed youth. But many people are not aware about Employment Generation Scheme. Due to which they are not able to be self-reliant with the benefits of the project. Therefore, the state’s Janjati Kalyan Department has given importance to awareness about the project in the ADC area.

As a part of this awareness camp, inaugurator former MLA Birendra Kishore Debbarma said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has shown the way for the youth of India to stand on their own feet. Government officers are reaching out to people. But still many are wasting time waiting for government jobs.

He appealed to take alternative earning opportunities without wasting time. Officials of various departments of the district discussed various schemes of the Government of India. Officials of various departments discussed the schemes on how to make the tribal youth self-reliant. The presence of tribal youths in this one day seminar was remarkable.
