Agartala, June 22 – The Sepahijala District Magistrate, Vishal Kumar, has taken action against 24 health workers at Bishalgarh Sub-divisional hospital for their unexplained absence from duty. The district has been facing continuous reports of negligence and substandard performance by the health workers at the hospital.
In order to investigate the situation, the District Magistrate conducted a surprise visit to the hospital this morning. During the inspection, it was discovered that 24 health workers had failed to fulfill their responsibilities promptly. In response to this negligence, the District Magistrate promptly issued show cause notices to the absent workers.
Expressing his concern, the District Magistrate stated that the media reports accurately depicted the reality of the situation at the hospital. The consistent reports of misconduct and negligence had prompted him to personally investigate the matter and take appropriate action. By issuing show cause notices, he aims to hold the health workers accountable for their actions and ensure that such behavior is not tolerated in the healthcare system.
