Sepahijala Sees 504 Employees Screened in Mega Wellness Drive

Agartala, 16th January 2026:  A special mega health camp was held today for government employees in Sepahijala district as part of the Chief Minister’s Niramay Arogya Abhiyan.

The camp took place across 11 administrative locations, including the District Collectorate, three Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) offices, and seven Block Development Officer (BDO) offices. Employees above 30 years of age received free medical services, including screenings for high blood pressure, diabetes, fatty liver, chronic kidney disease, COPD, stroke, cancer, dental check-ups, and Aarogya Health Card generation. A total of 504 employees benefited from consultations, blood tests, and free medicines.

The event was attended by District Magistrate Dr. Siddharth Shiv Jashwal, Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Magistrate Binky Saha, District Health & Family Welfare Officer Dr. Deep Kumar Debbarma, Bishalgarh Sub-Division Health Officer Dr. Arijit Sinha, along with various doctors, healthcare workers, and staff from different blocks of Sepahijala.

Under the direction of the District Collector, all government employees in the district are included in this program, with plans to provide an Aarogya Health Card to each participant.

The Niramay Arogya Abhiyan will be conducted in two phases: January 1–21, 2026, and July 1–24, 2026. During the camp, the INTAS Foundation also held awareness sessions on Hemophilia.

This initiative is aimed at strengthening preventive healthcare among government employees and promoting the early detection and treatment of chronic and lifestyle-related diseases.
