Agartala, August 16. The security situation in Agartala city is under severe scrutiny as a series of cars were partially vandalized have left residents concerned about their safety. The city’s policing is being questioned for its ability to maintain security during the night, as miscreants continue to rampage almost every night.

In the most recent incident, miscreants targeted the Jaiguru Kamarpukur area of the capital on Tuesday night, leaving car owners in distress. The startling discovery was made by car owners on Wednesday morning, prompting them to file a written case at the East Agartala police station on their behalf.

After the case was formally registered at the police station, Police officials from the East Agartala police station swiftly responded to the scene. The police are actively investigating the incident, with a particular focus on examining CCTV footage from the vicinity. A police officer involved in the investigation expressed optimism about identifying the culprits through the footage analysis.

This troubling trend of car break-ins is not new to the city. Over the past few years, Agartala has witnessed a consistent wave of such incidents, which were eventually brought under control through the intervention of the police administration. However, the recent surge in incidents has raised concerns, as it appears that police patrolling efforts have fallen short, allowing these incidents to escalate.
