Agartala, November 10: Seva International Trust, an NGO, launched a mobile medical service in Kanchanpur sub-division on Friday. The service aims to provide free health care and medicines to the rural and remote areas of the district.
The inauguration ceremony of the service was held at Laljuri High School in the presence of the chief guest, ADM-North Tripura, and the special guests, SDM-Kanchanpur, CMO-North Tripura, and BDO-Laljuri. The program began with the lighting of the lamp and the singing of patriotic songs. The guests also addressed the gathering and appreciated the initiative of Seva International Trust. They also urged the people to avail the benefits of the service and to maintain their health and hygiene.
The students of the school performed a cultural dance on the occasion. A mega health camp was also organized as part of the program, where about 170 local people received health services and medicines from the doctors and volunteers of the trust. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Sanjeev Shil, Program Manager of the Seva International, Tripura.
Seva International Trust is a charitable organization that works for the welfare of the poor and the needy in various fields such as education, health, environment, and disaster relief. The trust has been operating in Tripura since 2016 and has undertaken several projects and activities for the development of the state. The mobile medical service is one of its latest endeavours to reach out to the people who lack access to quality health care.
