Seven injured in road mishap at Sonamura

Agartala, February 13. In a tragic road accident, a Bolero mini truck with seven people inside, including a child, overturned on the Rabindranagar road, near the Shantipalli area in Sonamura on Tuesday, leading them all injured. The accident was caused by the negligence of the road construction company as well as the driver’s excessive speed, according to eyewitnesses.

According to the sources, the truck, with the registration number TR-07C-1891, was moving towards Sonamura from Rabindranagar, due to excessive speed it lost control and flipped over on the road. The locals rushed to the spot and rescued the injured, and taken to the Sonamura Community Health Centre for treatment. The condition of the child was reported to be critical.

Meanwhile, the road construction work has been going on for a long time, causing inconvenience and trouble to the commuters. The slow pace of the work and the sudden decisions of the authorities have resulted in frequent accidents on the road. The residents have demanded that the construction work should be done with proper caution and the vehicle drivers should also drive with care.

After being informed the police arrived at the scene and verified the details of the incident.
