SFI celebrates 55th foundation day with flag hoisting and drawing competition

Agartala, 30th December 2024:    The Students Federation of India (SFI) celebrated its 55th foundation day today with a series of events. A program was held at the Chhatra-Yuva Bhavan to hoist the organization’s flag and commemorate the martyrs. Additionally, a drawing competition was conducted at the Tripura Karmachari Sammanay Samiti’s office in Sabroom as part of the social program.

Addressing the reporters, Nabarun Deb highlighted the historical significance of the All India Students Federation, which was established during the independence movement to fight against British rule. “Students came forward to free the country from the British shackles, and since then, the Students Federation has been working tirelessly to take the organization forward,” he said.

Deb also remarked on the milestone occasion, “Today marks the 55th foundation day of the Students Federation. This organization has moved forward through 54 years of struggle and continues to thrive.”

The drawing competition at the Tripura Karmic Coordination Committee office in Sabroom saw enthusiastic participation. Present at the event were Prashanta Laskar, Secretary of the Sabroom Sub-Divisional Committee of the SFI, Kishalay Shil, President of the Sabroom Sub-Divisional Committee, Subhash Nath, former Secretary of the Sabroom Sub-Divisional Committee and other leaders.

The celebrations highlighted the commitment of the Students Federation of India to fostering student engagement and promoting cultural activities. The organization remains dedicated to upholding its legacy and working towards the betterment of students across the nation.
