Agartala, May 21: In a state marred by chaos, a dire situation takes place as the current government’s policies lead to the deterioration of education, healthcare, and law enforcement. The administration’s incompetence has resulted in a freeze on hiring, while a sinister nexus pushes the youth towards addiction. In response, a coalition comprising SFI, TSU, DYFI, and TYF has collectively initiated an action plan across the entire state. The blame for this state of anarchy is being squarely placed on the Chief Minister. Additionally, demands for the Chief Minister’s resignation have been raised by leftist student and youth organizations.
On Tuesday afternoon, a protest rally was organized in front of the Chhatra-Yuva Bhavan here. Present at the event were DYFI state President Palash Bhowmik, Secretary Nabarun Deb and leaders of other organizations. Palash Bhowmik stated that the people have taken to the streets to draw the government’s attention towards the dire state of education, healthcare, and employment. Leftist factions are gaining traction due to the rampant unemployment and the complete breakdown of the education system, particularly after the announcement of Vidyajyoti School results, which has left parents deeply concerned.
The healthcare sector is also in a dire state, with healthcare professionals facing extreme difficulties. Moreover, there is an acute shortage of medicine at the state’s main referral hospital. Incidents of theft, robbery, and vandalism have surged during the night. Meanwhile, state ministers are preoccupied with campaigning in West Bengal. Thus, amidst these circumstances, a vehement protest is being staged on the streets to voice grievances.
