Agartala: May 26. Left student organizations SFI and TSU jointly organized a protest march on Friday demands three-point charters of demands including stopping the implementation of the new National Education Policy, stopping the degradation of school education.

The procession started from the front of the Chatra Jubo Bhavan and went around the various streets of the city. Attending the rally, SFI State Secretary Sandipan Deb said that the BJP government has formulated a new education policy by avoiding the Parliament during the Covid. This education policy has been brought forward by the government to destroy the education system of the country.

“This education policy is the education policy of Rich people. And efforts are underway to implement RSS’ blue plan to privatize the education system through education policy. After many agitations in the last few days, it has been seen that nothing has been done”, he said.

He further said the former education minister Ratan Lal Nath tried to follow the central directives of the education system and the current education minister and chief minister also tried to follow the central national education policy.

He expressed fear that it will destroy the education system and alleged that there is a crisis of teachers in schools. In this situation, there is no other option but not to go to the movement, said the SFI state secretary.
