Agartala: October 07 :  SFI-TSU today held Shiksha Bhavan Abhiyan to safeguard government education, denouncing what leaders claim to be detrimental policies implemented by the BJP-led government.

The campaign, held under the slogan “Save Government Education,” outlined a series of crucial demands aimed at reviving and fortifying the public education system. One of their demands is to stop privatization and commercialization of education. Increased fees should be abolished. Adequate teachers should be appointed. Discrimination in education should be stopped etc.

On this day, the leaders of the organization complained that the BJP-led government has started dealing severe damage to education since coming to power. The conspiracy to destroy the government education system and hand over education to the private sector has started. As a result, education for all will become a virtual failure. Both organizations have demanded to stop privatizing education in the interest of universal education. They also alleged that schools included under the Vidya Jyoti scheme were being charged extra fees. It has become impossible for many to avail education opportunities by paying fees. They demanded to stop the privatization of education by thinking about the overall interest of the students.
