Agartala: August 03. The SFI and TSU today held a massive protest in Agartala city demanding recruitment of teachers in all schools across the state.While speaking with reporters, SFI state president Sandipan Deb said that the school across the state are facing severe crisis of teachers and despite receiving information about the fact the government is not taking any initiative to recruit teachers in the schools.
“Today SFI , TSU as per prescheduled protest programme we have blockaded the road for 15minute in Battala. Our demand is that government should recruit teachers as soon as possible. Students are protesting and blocking road across the state demanding teachers while MLAs and Ministers are enjoying their all benefits sitting inside AC room. Our protest will continue in coming days”, he said.
The SFI and TSU workers blockade the road in battala and in the meantime a huge contingent of CRPF and Police rushed to the spot to clear the spot. However a scuffle between the workers of SFI and TSU had taken place.However the police personnel has detained them all and cleared the road.
