Agartala, June 28, 2023: The Shishu Kishore Natya Utsav is going to be held in Dharmanagar from July 02 to July 05 under the initiative of Dharmanagar Municipal Council.
While speaking to media personnel on Wednesday morning, Dharmanagar Municipal Council chairperson Pradyot Dey Sarkar said that this theatre festival that since 2018, various cultural groups of Dharmanagar have been holding programmes one after another with the support of the local MLA and Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, Biswa Bandhu Sen as he is a culture loving person. So cultural groups are working on new initiatives with his support.
The chairperson also said that if people are connected with culture and sports, then it will be possible to prevent the youth from going into drug addiction. So engaging children with culture and sports from infancy and adolescence will help our society to evolve in a healthy way.
In this theatre festival, teams will be awarded various prizes after the ceremony on July 05. Various schools and groups are participating in this theatre festival, he added.
