Agartala, 6th June 2026: In a major breakthrough, Bishalgarh police have arrested notorious gangster associate Bishu Debnath, also known as Bishu, who was wanted in connection with the March shooting incident at the residences of two contractors in Bishalgarh. Acting on a tip-off, police apprehended him late Friday night near the Gokulnagar TSR camp, where he was reportedly drinking with his associates in a tea garden.
Police sources confirmed that Bishu, a close aide of gangster Ranbir, is implicated in three separate cases and had been absconding since March. His sudden rise in the mafia world, under the influence of Ranbir and Manna, turned him into one of Bishalgarh’s most feared figures.
The arrest has brought relief to local residents, though they are demanding strict punishment for the accused. Bishu was produced before the court on Saturday afternoon, while police continue investigations into the involvement of other gang members.
